BingoPlus Tumble Feature: Cascades, Chains and the Slots That Use Them
A tumble feature removes the symbols of a winning combination and drops new symbols into the gaps, all on the same paid spin.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| BingoPlus Hit Frequency | Hit frequency is the share of spins that return any win at all, of any size. |
| BingoPlus Hold and Spin | In a hold and spin round, landing enough special symbols, usually coins or orbs carrying values, starts a set of respins. |
| BingoPlus Penny Slots | Penny slots are slots with a small coin value, but the total bet per spin is the coin value multiplied by the lines or ways played and any bet multiplier. |
| BingoPlus Sticky Wild | A sticky wild is a wild symbol that stays in its position for more than one spin, often for a set number of spins or for a whole free-spins round, helping every spin it stays for. |
A tumble feature turns one paid spin into a chain. When symbols form a win, they are paid and removed; the symbols above drop down, new ones fall in from the top, and if they make another win, the process repeats. The chain ends only when a drop produces nothing. It is the engine behind several of the most played slots in the lobby.
It is one of the features compared on the slot selection pillar for BingoPlus.
How a tumble chain runs
- You pay for one spin. The stake is taken once.
- A win lands. The winning symbols are paid.
- They disappear. The gaps fill from above.
- Another win? If the new symbols make a win, steps 2 and 3 repeat.
- The chain ends. A drop with no win closes the spin.
Example with round numbers: on a ₱10 spin, a first win pays ₱5, the tumble produces a second win of ₱8 and a third of ₱3, then nothing. The single ₱10 spin returned ₱16 across three tumbles.

Cascading reels and the names studios use
Cascading reels, tumbles and avalanches are one idea under three names.
| Name | Used by |
|---|---|
| Tumble | Pragmatic Play |
| Avalanche | PG Soft (Mahjong Ways 2) |
| Cascade | Many studios, as a general term |
The mechanics differ in detail: some grids pay by lines, some by clusters, some by scatter counts anywhere. The tumble is the same in all of them.
What tumbles do to a session
Tumbles raise the number of wins you see per paid spin, which makes a slot feel lively even at a modest RTP. They pair naturally with multipliers, because a long chain gives a multiplier more wins to work on. Where a multiplier can reach very high values, as in the 1000 versions, volatility is rated very high: rare long chains carry most of the slot’s value.
For a feature that pays in a different way, read how a hold and spin round locks symbols. To see how coin size changes the stake behind every tumble, see the page on slot denominations.
A long tumble chain paid less than you expected.
Many tumble wins are small. The big returns come when a multiplier lands during a chain; check the paytable for how and when that happens in your game.
FAQ
Do tumbles cost extra?
No. Every tumble in a chain is part of the spin you already paid for. Only the first spin takes a stake.
Are cascading reels the same as tumbles?
Yes, in effect. Studios use different names, tumble, cascade, avalanche, for the same idea: winning symbols are removed and new ones fall into place.
Do multipliers grow during a tumble chain?
In some slots, yes. Gates of Olympus 1000 adds multiplier symbols that apply to the win, and Mahjong Ways 2 raises a multiplier in its free spins. Each game's paytable explains its own rule.
