A push in betting is the result that leaves everyone where they started. The score lands exactly on the line, the bet neither wins nor loses, and the sportsbook returns your stake. It can only happen on certain lines, and knowing which ones lets you choose whether a push is possible at all.

When a push happens
- The line is a whole number. For example over or under 3 goals, or a team at -5 points.
- The result lands on it exactly. Three goals scored; the team wins by exactly five.
- The bet is a push. Your stake comes back; there is no profit.

Lines that cannot push
A half line removes the tie. With 2.5 goals, a match has either 2 or fewer or 3 or more; there is no result on 2.5.

Quarter lines: the split push bet
A quarter line splits your push bet into two halves on the neighbouring lines.
Example with round numbers, ₱200 on over 2.75 goals:
- ₱100 rides on over 2.5 and ₱100 on over 3.
- If 3 goals are scored, the over 2.5 half wins and the over 3 half pushes, so ₱100 comes back.
- If 4 goals are scored, both halves win.
- If 2 goals are scored, both halves lose.

Pushes in basketball quarters
