BingoPlus Odds On: Prices Below Evens and What They Return
Odds on means a price shorter than evens: decimal odds below 2.00, a minus sign in Indo odds.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| BingoPlus Indo Odds | Indo odds carry a sign. |
| BingoPlus Push in Betting | A push in betting happens when the result lands exactly on the line, so the bet neither wins nor loses and the stake is returned. |
| BingoPlus Quarter Betting | Quarter betting splits a basketball game into its four quarters and prices each one: who wins the quarter, a quarter handicap, and a quarter total of points. |
| BingoPlus Total Goals | A total goals bet is on the combined goals of both teams, over or under a line. |
| BingoPlus Underdog | The underdog is the side a betting price rates less likely to win. |
Odds on is a price shorter than evens. It says the bookmaker thinks the outcome is more likely to happen than not, and it pays accordingly: a winning bet returns less profit than you staked. Odds-on is not the same as safe, and the arithmetic below shows exactly how much risk a short price still carries.
Every odds format the lobby’s sportsbook can show is lined up on the BingoPlus sports overview.
What odds on looks like in each format
| Format | Odds-on looks like | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | Below 2.00 | 1.50 |
| Indo | A minus sign | -2.00 |
| Hong Kong | Below 1.00 | 0.50 |
| Fractional | Shorter than 1/1 | 1/2 |
All four examples describe the same price: ₱50 profit on a ₱100 stake.
The odds on favourite in numbers
The odds on favourite pays small and often. Here is how the profit and the implied chance move as the price shortens.
| Decimal | Profit on ₱100 | Implied chance (1 ÷ price) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.90 | ₱90 | 52.6% |
| 1.70 | ₱70 | 58.8% |
| 1.50 | ₱50 | 66.7% |
| 1.25 | ₱25 | 80.0% |
| 1.10 | ₱10 | 90.9% |
Example with round numbers: at 1.25, four winning bets of ₱100 make ₱100 profit together, and one losing bet of ₱100 wipes that out.
Why short prices still lose
- The price is an estimate. 66.7% implied means a loss about one time in three.
- The margin is built in. Implied chances in a market add up to more than 100%, so the true chance is a little lower than the price suggests.
- Losses cost the full stake. A win at 1.25 pays ₱25; a loss costs ₱100.
Odds-on in totals and quarters
Odds-on prices are not only for match winners. A total line or a basketball quarter market can price one side below evens too, and the same arithmetic applies. When a whole-number line lands exactly, the stake can come back instead, explained on the push in betting page; quarter markets have their own rules for a level quarter, covered on the quarter betting page.
A string of odds-on wins left you only slightly ahead, and one loss put you behind.
That is the shape of short prices: small wins, full-stake losses. Size stakes so a single loss does not undo the session.
FAQ
Is an odds-on bet safe?
No. Odds-on only means the book rates the outcome more likely than not. A 1.50 price still implies about a one-in-three chance of losing.
What is the difference between odds-on and odds-against?
Odds-on is below 2.00 decimal and pays less than the stake in profit. Odds-against is above 2.00 and pays more. Exactly 2.00 is evens.
How do I work out profit on an odds-on price?
Multiply the stake by the decimal price minus 1. At 1.40, a ₱200 stake makes ₱200 × 0.40 = ₱80 profit.
