BingoPlus Browser Cache: When Old Pages Stick and How to Clear Them

A browser cache stores copies of a site's files on your phone so pages load faster.

A browser cache is your phone remembering a site so it can show it faster next time. Most days that is a gift. The day after a lobby updates, it can be a trap: the phone serves an old file beside new ones, and a tile goes blank, a button stops working or the layout looks out of date. Clearing the cache for that one site fixes it in under a minute.

Phone play in general is covered on the BingoPlus mobile page.

Signs the browser cache is the problem

What you seeLikely cause
A page shows an old layout after an updateOld cached files
A tile or button stops respondingA cached script out of step with the site
Images or styles look brokenPartly cached files
The page works in a private windowAlmost certainly the cache

Opening the lobby in a private or incognito window is the quickest test: a private window starts with an empty cache.

Chrome on Android

  1. Open Chrome’s menu and go to Settings.
  2. Open Site settings, then All sites.
  3. Find the lobby’s address and open it.
  4. Choose to clear the site’s data, and confirm.

Safari on iPhone

  1. Open the phone’s Settings app and go to Safari.
  2. Open Advanced, then Website Data.
  3. Find the lobby’s address, swipe left on it and delete.

Chrome on AndroidSettings, Site settings, All sites
Safari on iPhoneSettings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data

What clearing resets

  1. You are signed out of that site and will sign in again with a code or password.
  2. Site preferences such as language or sound reset.
  3. Your account, balance and history are untouched: they live on the lobby’s servers.

After clearing, sign in again with your usual channel; the SMS OTP page covers codes that arrive late, and the Viber and WhatsApp code page covers the messaging-app routes.

Problem

The page is still broken after clearing.

Fix

Close the browser completely, reopen it and load the lobby again. If it still fails, try another browser or ask live chat from the headset button.

FAQ

Will clearing the cache delete my account?

No. It removes files stored on your phone. Your account lives on the lobby's servers; you simply sign in again.

Should I clear my whole browser history?

There is no need. Clear the data for the one site that misbehaves and keep your other sites signed in.

How often should I clear the cache?

Only when a page looks wrong after an update or keeps failing to load. A working cache makes pages faster.
